Helping you
design and achieve your success!
Whether you are a 17-year-old student applying to college or a 50-year-old employee looking to pivot your career, work with me to build your compelling strategic narrative.
My name is Nathan Nhat Nguyen, PhD (He/Him/His). I am a first generation Vietnamese-American from the Golden State of California. I am also a trained Molecular Biologist for 10 years (with secondary proficiencies in Astrophysics and Bioinformatics) and I conducted scientific research at renowned institutions such as the University of California - San Francisco and the National Aeronautics & Space Administration. I completed my doctoral thesis in the Department of Cell Biology at Yale University. During my time there, I utilized my research skill to improve teaching pedagogy for undergraduate learning in cooperation with the Yale Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning. Moreover, I supported Yale students and alumni with their career development as a McDougal Career Fellow at the Yale Office of Career Strategy. Currently, I am an active duty Naval Officer for the United States Navy. My main responsibility is to lead joint services military members and the Department of Defense civilians to study national security issues. Please check out my LinkedIn for more details.
Throughout my time as a scientist and now as a commissioned military officer, I realized that my passion is to help others succeed, especially individuals from underrepresented communities and military (both active duty members and veterans). I have extensive knowledge in personalized academic and career consulting due to my unique background and professional experiences thus far. I have had involvement with university admission, recruitment and hiring for academia/education and government sectors. Additionally, I am well-versed in the biotech, finance, healthcare, and technology industries. From formulating your future life goals in a coaching session to guiding you in a resume writing workshop, I will be your compassionate, innovative, and methodical advisor.
Success in university and job applications requires demonstration of masteries in both technical knowledge and one's humanity.
